About the Chief Glorious Broad — Maryjane Fahey
I’m on my fifth reinvention as founder of Glorious Broads—the
epicenter for confident, unconventional women over 50.
I started my career as a creative director, rebranding everything
from Women’s Health to The Boston Globe, then switched to editorial, Where I was launching editor for AARP’s Disrupt Aging. I’ve written for Bustle’s TMZ, HuffPost, NPR, Next and co-authored a very funny break-up book called DUMPED.
Now? Glorious Broads is a viral sensation — with 280K on IG, 135K on TikTok. Yeah, I’m tooting my own horn — Glorious Broad Ashley Longshore would approve.
I interview rule-breaking, game-changing, no-BS Broads—from Kathleen Turner, Bettye LaVette, and Justin Vivian Bond — to everyday women I find on the street, in cafés, wherever. I’ve even been compared to Barbara Walters — which I kind of love.
I give good podcasts—and with younger women too —like Reese Witherspoon’s The Bright Side. I keynote, lead discussions, and talk about and for WOMEN, REDEFINING AGE, LIVING IMAGINATIVELY, SAYING NO TO THE STEREOTYPE, SENSUALITY, RAGE and the importance of our JOY through all of this. Also? I’m funny—and have performed at the legendary Joe’s Pub more than once.
